The National Ministry of Finance and Planning have confirmed the successful processing and disbursement of salaries for all civil servants, the army, organized forces, and South Sudan’s foreign missions to reinforce fiscal discipline and public trust.

Undersecretary in the finance docket, Arop Nuol Arop in a date aligned with the directive issued last month by Vice President for Economic Cluster Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel, instructing for payment of salary no later than the 24th of each month.

“The Ministry of Finance and Planning has the pleasure and honor to convey to all spending agencies (Ministries, Commissions/ Departments and Authorities), media and the general public that processing and payments of salaries for the Month of April 2025 have been successfully started,” reads the statement

“It is worth noting that salary payments for the Month of April 2025 cover all sectors under Chapter One to include salaries for all Civil Servants, Army & Organized Forces, and the foreign missions in totality,” Arop added.

Moreover, undersecretary added that disbursement of transfers to all States and Administrative Areas have been processed.

“As of today 24″ April, 2025, all salaries for the Spending Agencies have been posted in respective accounts ready for payment to civil servants, army, organized forces and foreign missions as well as States and Administrative Areas,” he stressed.

Finance ministry stated that they acknowledge recent strict directives from the President Salva Kiir to pay Monthly salaries for Civil Servants, Army, Organized Forces, and Foreign Missions by every 24″ day of every month.

“Therefore, this pronouncement of successful processing of salaries for the Month of April 2025 by this 24″ day is a fundamental testament to our unwavering commitment to the aforementioned directives,”

Similarly, the Ministry of Finance and Planning reassured the leadership, all spending agencies media, and the general public of its continued commitments towards timely payment of salaries.

“The Ministry is also considerate of other key priorities for the government to ensure implementation of all fundamental economic reforms to support inclusive economic recovery, service delivery and ensure sustained economic growth in medium-to-long terms, as stipulated in the Revised National Development Strategy (R-NDS),”
