The government of Jonglei State has formed a reception committee to prepare for the reception of the new governor.
The committee is expecting to receive the newly appointed governor Dr Riek Gai Kok in the stateeither this week or the coming week.
Nyamal Lony Ngundeng, the state’s Minister of Information and Communication said the reception committee is fully prepared to receive Governor Kok.
‘’For the coming of the governor, the government of Jonglei State has done a lot of preparations under the acting governor who is the minister of cabinet affairs.They have formed a reception committee to receive the governor in the state and the preparations have gone all the way to the end and just waiting for the implementation.’’ She said.
Nyamal called on the people in the state to turn up in numbers to receive their new leader.
She also called for peace among the people living in Jonglei State as they prepare to receive the governor.
‘’I would like to tell the people of Jonglei State to embrace peace and stay calm, be happy and hopeful for development.’’ She stated.
‘’I would also like to inform the people in Jonglei state that our governor is able governor with experience and worked in various government positions before. And let this a change for us the people of Jonglei state to see development, change and hope.’’ She added.
